1. Purpose
This Restricted Jurisdictions & Sanctions Policy describes the geographic, sanctions, and compliance restrictions that apply to access to and use of the Services. This policy applies in addition to the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any product-specific terms.2. Why restrictions exist
Polyranger may restrict access for reasons including:- sanctions and embargo compliance;
- anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing compliance;
- local financial-services, gaming, gambling, prediction-market, or consumer-protection laws;
- contractual restrictions imposed by service providers or counterparties;
- fraud prevention, security, and operational risk management; and
- reputational, legal, or regulatory risk management.
3. Prohibited persons and prohibited use
You must not access or use the Services if you are, or if you are acting on behalf of:- a person or entity located in, resident in, ordinarily resident in, organized in, or otherwise subject to a Restricted Jurisdiction, except to the limited extent Polyranger expressly permits view-only or close-only access;
- a person or entity designated on any sanctions or restricted-party list applicable to Polyranger or the relevant Service;
- a person or entity owned or controlled by, or acting for the benefit of, any such designated person or entity; or
- any person or entity seeking to evade sanctions, AML, or location-based controls.
4. How Polyranger may determine eligibility
Polyranger may use any lawful source or signal to determine eligibility, including:- IP-based geolocation;
- device, browser, SIM, OS, or network signals;
- residency, nationality, or incorporation information;
- payment, bank, wallet, billing, or account information;
- sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, and fraud-screening results;
- documents or declarations you provide; and
- any other information reasonably necessary to assess legal or compliance risk.
5. Restriction statuses
Polyranger may apply one or more of the following statuses to a user, account, feature, jurisdiction, or transaction flow:- Blocked: no access or no transactional access, except where local law requires limited wind-down rights;
- View-only / read-only: you may view public content or market data but may not trade, transact, deposit, subscribe, or access restricted features;
- Close-only: you may reduce or exit an existing exposure where permitted, but may not open new positions or increase exposure;
- Withdrawal-only: you may withdraw permitted balances or assets, but may not initiate new activity; and
- Enhanced review: access may be delayed, paused, or conditioned on additional information.
6. Screening sources
Polyranger may screen against any sanctions or restricted-party lists that are applicable to us or to the relevant service, including, where relevant:- U.S. sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control;
- EU financial sanctions and other EU restrictive measures;
- UK sanctions lists;
- UN sanctions lists; and
- any national or local sanctions or freeze lists applicable to Polyranger or a service provider.
7. Compliance requests and ongoing monitoring
Polyranger may ask you at any time to provide information or documents, including proof of identity, proof of address, source-of-funds information, beneficial ownership information, or declarations relating to location or sanctions status. We may conduct ongoing screening, transaction monitoring, account reviews, and reevaluations of jurisdiction eligibility. A user who was previously eligible may become restricted later due to changes in law, sanctions, regulation, service-provider requirements, or internal risk decisions.8. Consequences of restriction
If you are determined to be ineligible or restricted, Polyranger may, with or without notice where permitted by law:- deny account creation or access;
- limit services or move you to a view-only, close-only, or withdrawal-only state;
- reject, cancel, reverse, unwind, freeze, or refuse requests or transactions;
- require you to close positions or cease using the Services;
- suspend or terminate your account; and
- report information to relevant authorities or counterparties where required or appropriate.
9. No circumvention
Any attempt to evade, bypass, or defeat sanctions, KYC, AML, or geoblocking controls is a material violation of the Terms & Conditions and may result in immediate suspension or termination, cancellation of activity, or referral to law enforcement or regulators.10. Changes to this policy and to the restriction schedule
Restricted jurisdictions and restriction statuses may change at any time, with or without prior notice, based on changes in law, regulation, sanctions, licensing strategy, provider requirements, or Polyranger’s internal risk assessment. Appendix A is illustrative of Polyranger’s initial draft launch posture and does not limit Polyranger’s right to apply restrictions more broadly.11.
